Swimming Lessons

Conner, Abbie and Adam have been taking swimming lessons this summer. They go every Monday through Friday. They're really improving. Conner is in level six, which is the top class. Part of Conner's instruction is a lifesaving class. Abbie's class has moved to the deep end and she has started learning to dive off the diving board. Adam is learning the standard back float and swimming strokes. The lessons are a half hour but it generally takes longer than that thanks to the strategically placed rock climbing wall and Dance, Dance Revolution video game on the way back to the car.

bless their little hearts. just out of curiosity, why the rash gaurd shirts for an indoor pool? habit? luckily we get to take them to swimming today, it should be pretty darn fun and i can already see the jealousy in emery's eyes.

The rash guard shirts are worn mainly to protect the tender feelings of inadequacy that may occur on the part of the other kids at the pool. Conner and Adam have been blessed with "The Anderson Six Pack." They can't break those babies out just any old place.

Berlin and Jamison are in swim lessons this year as well. Berlin is in the "seal" class I think. Basically it means she goes under water or whatever. Jamison just wants to go down the waterslide which, unfortunately is not part of the class.
