We took the family to the zoo today. It was a lot of fun, but pretty hot. But that was good because the zoo wasn't very busy as a result of the
90°+ temp. I think we saw almost every animal there was to see.
When we arrived at the gorilla enclosure there was a rather large group of people gathered. Adam walks up excitedly to see Tino, the gorilla, and loud enough that the whole group can hear, he exclaims, "I want to see the gorilla that eats his poo!" There was some nervous laughter from the group. I guess that once you've seen something like that, you never forget it. I think Adam was 3 the fateful day we saw the gorilla showing off his special trick. Tino's other special trick is regurgitating his food so he can enjoy it again and again to the delight of all.
Enjoy the photos of our latest zoo excursion.
That's a giraffe standing behind the kids.
The zoo now has a carousel. As you can see, Christian wasn't too happy about riding on the back of a scary plastic elephant.
The zoo experience is never complete until we've been on the train.

Is there really anything better than a poo-eating Gorilla? I don't think so.
