Conner and I recently went on a winter camp. It was cold. There could be a lot of "How cold was it?" jokes inserted here, but I'll spare you the sordid details. And, in spite of the less than favorable temperature, which hovered precariously close to the 20° fahrenheit mark, we still had fun. We camped at Bountiful Pond just west of the new Legacy freeway. The Scouts did a lot of standing around the pond holding fishing poles, as evidenced by the photos below. But alas, with all of that determined fishing, no luck on catching any fish.
Conner loves everything about camping. He's having a lot of fun as a Scout. And I enjoy going on the camp-outs with him. Even if I end up a little cold at night on the winter outings.

Sorry man, but that doesn't look like fun to me at all.
Luckily Dru will be going on these camp outs with Masaru and not me.
So I've got nothing to worry about.
Hopefully he and Masaru will feel the same and you and Conner and love it.
Yuki and I can chill at home and have a party, in the warm!
When I asked Trevor how the campout was, all he said was, "It was cold!"
All I can say is it physically hurts just reading about your adventure. I am glad that boys are tuff. I just cannot figure out why they require such strange things as to sleep in the freezing cold. Glad you had a good time & glad it was you & not me.
I didn't know you could camp overnight down there.
It looks miserable. GREAT...but miserable!
