The Anderson Family "Plantation"

For the past few weeks we've been doing things with cool sounding names. Names like, till, plow, dig, hoe, cultivate, fertilize, mulch, weed, sow, plant, and so on. What I've come to find out is that things with cool sounding names can be a lot of work. But we're not scared of getting a little dirt under our fingernails. It's quite rewarding actually. We spent most of the evening on Monday planting the garden. It turned out to be a nice Family Home Evening.

In a couple of months we'll be able to do another cool sounding word: harvest.

Good for you! You are way ahead of us. Our garden still needs to be tilled.

I put in my pea's last Saturday. I put them in front and out back in a planter box. I hope they will work. :)

I hope they lived through yet another winter storm, which isn't very welcomed since we're into spring HERE!!! Walls of water????? How did they fare?

Dad and I are thinking of planting a lot of corn. Need any of that?

Ah gardening...the great values that come from it. Sincerely one of my favorite things. The harvest sometimes even just seems like the added bonus at the end!

Looks great. Does it still look as great after the week's cold weather?
