We had a great Memorial Day weekend. We did all the traditional Memorial weekend activities. We visited the cemetery, attended the annual flag raising ceremony at the church, honored the local veterans, and had a barbecue (of course).
But beyond all those great three-day weekend activities, I'm grateful to my ancestors. I'm grateful that they sacrificed so much to ensure that we have the blessings of freedom and religion. And I'm grateful to the servicemen and women who protect those freedoms every day. It's nice to have a day to remind us of those blessings. It's also nice to have a three-day weekend.
