Abbie had a birthday last week. Her eleventh, to be exact. Eleven years? It hardly seems possible that she's already affixed eleven feathers in her birthday cap. And we're grateful for each and every one. With the rough patch Abbie had a few years ago, we no longer take any of her birthday milestones for granted. We're so blessed to have her in our family. Happy Birthday, Abbie.

Abbie decided that instead of a cake this year, we would celebrate with cream-filled birthday éclairs.

We had Abbie's favorite dinner—chicken noodle soup bread bowls.

And her big gift this year was a sewing machine. Adam dubbed it "the most boring birthday gift in the history of the world." I'm glad he spoke up because what an embarrassment that would have been had we purchased one for him next year. That was a close one! Abbie loves it though, and can't wait to get started on a few sewing projects. Anyone need new pajama bottoms?

happy birthday baby girl! soon abbie will learn that it is not only the most 'boring gift of all', but that it is completely useless as long as my mom is alive.
that was a hard lesson for me too abbs.
I don't think Abbie will find it boring at all...what a great gift. Happy Birthday little sweetie. I hope it was an extra special day for you. It was great celebrating with you a little early this year.
Love, Grams
Ooo, ooo, me, me, I need PJ's in a desperate way.
I think that's awesome that that's what she wanted.
Adam's cutting himself short man.
One year as a surprize Christmas gift Dru sewed me a skirt.
It was one of the best gifts I've every recieved from him.
It pretty much puts him in 'best husband of the century' running.
So tell Adam that if he wants to be included int he running he better ask for a machine next year.
Happy birthday to Abby.
I love the 'cake' idea.
