The weather was amazingly good for trick-or-treating last night so the kids were able to collect enough candy to last until Christmas—although, it'll probably only last until tomorrow at the rate it's being consumed. Christian sprinted from house to house leaving everyone in his dust. But about an hour into his candy collection enterprise his little legs gave out and he couldn't go another step. I had to carry him several blocks back home. When we arrived back at the house and after enjoying several samplings from his candy loot he very dejectedly reported that "My stomach is tired." He slept extremely well last night and uncharacteristically for Christian, he was the last one in the house to get up this morning. But of course it was all worth it. His candy now resides in his "special" drawer in the dresser in his bedroom. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.
