July 24th Festivities

We had a family get-together for the 24th of July Holiday at the pavilion on the hill above the church. We set-up a lot of water activities for the kids and barbecued hamburgers. Needless to say, fun was had by all. Big thanks to my dad for helping me haul everything to and from the pavilion. (It's a lot of work to have fun) The weather was perfect.

Incidentally, my sister Ashlee, (In yellow on the left in the second photo down) is 9 months pregnant and ready to have the baby at any time. In fact, Brooke and mom just called to tell me that Ashlee and Nick are on their way to the hospital right now to have their 3rd child. And if one baby isn't enough, Lance and Lindsay are having their baby today, as well. Good luck to everyone. We can't wait to see our new niece and nephew.

Conner is so comfortable with his masculinity that he's completely fine sliding down a Dora The Explorer slip-n-slide.

Christian is a fish. He loves water. In fact, we have to be careful to never leave the bathroom door open. He's found that there's a fun water basin at his disposal any time he wants. He'll even give himself swirlies if we're not always on guard.

We found Christian red-handed in the potato chip bag. We were shocked that he chose chips over the carrots and pepper wedges you see there. Haven't we taught him anything about nutrition?
I think the saying, "Like herding cats" should be changed to, "Like trying to get a decent photo of kids in a pool." It's just as difficult (probably more so) and would be an infinitely more descriptive and appropriate way to describe a thing of impossibility. It's got a nice ring to it.
Here's another try.
And another...
