Before we accept this distinguished award, we need to express our humbled and flattered sentiments. You may begin to understand those sentiments by clicking here.
What is the award, you ask? It's the "Your Blog Is Fabulous" award. This award is given to (unworthy) bloggers who are found to be, and I quote, "interesting, inspiring, entertaining or just plain hilarious." I know the first three definitely can't be the adjectives that led to this nomination. But we Anderson's are pretty hilarious...to look at. Just look at us. And we're all cut from the exact same cloth. If our family were in a room of 100 people and a stranger was asked to separate the Andersons from everyone else, it would take about a minute and a half to find the look-alike Andersons—except for Erica. She's on her own. Lucky girl.
There were several rules and regulations about passing this award on to other bloggers—but, if I may, I'd like to stray from the confines of the rules a bit. How could I choose only 5 (unworthy) blogs to award? If you are a family member or a friend reading this post, I consider your blog to be "fabulous" and as such, you deserve this award posted below.
However, I'm not ashamed to admit that I think this award looks a little feminine. I have enough foresight to predict that there may be a few male bloggers who might just politely refuse to post this award. So, I've taken the liberty to make it an equal opportunity award. Now you can proudly post the more macho version shown below if you're so inclined.
All fun aside, there are many blogs that truly stand out—apart from the rest—that really deserve some sort of award for original thinking. A friend (and coworker) of mine has one such blog. It's called "Write In My Journal."
The idea behind "Write In My Journal" is simple. He asks complete strangers to write a page or two in his Moleskine journal about themselves. He finds someone who looks interesting. Someone who looks like they have a story to tell about their lives. He approaches them, explains what his blog is about and asks if they'd be willing to write a page in his journal. He then asks if he can document the meeting by taking their photo. There have been quite a few interesting posts (some more interesting than others) since he's started his blog. In fact, it's become so interesting that he often has 10,000 hits or more per day. People from all over the world have contacted him asking if they too, can be field correspondents for him contributing their posts to his blog. If you're interested, check it out at www.writeinmyjournal.com.
Now, ahem...... I'd like to thank the Academy..........

Once again, you made me laugh out loud. From a fellow, er, "gal" runner, your blog rocks big time!
You guys make me laugh! I love the way you write your posts. I'm not a writer, as you can tell when reading my blog. You deserve the award!
I peeked at you friend's blog. What an different idea! I'm surprised by those willing to participate. So interesting to read a bit of the life they live written in their own words...beyond the snapped picture.
And, great adaptation of the "fab" to the "rocks" blog award version. Funny.
Thank you, Ryan. It's an honor just to be mentioned along side such elite company.
