Goodbye Trusty Comrades

Conner had some very stubborn baby teeth. I say "stubborn" because they were hanging on well past their prime, leaving no space for his adult teeth to grow in. And I say "had" because, well, they've been "put down." Six of them—all at the same time. I think the "before and after" photo above speaks volumes. Just look at his cheeks in the "after" photo. Poor guy. Erica said there was a lot of chaotic twisting pliers action and loud cracking noises as the roots finally surrendered. And Conner was AWAKE for the whole thing. Fortunately he had a mouth full of Novocain to help him through the ordeal. Afterward, he spent the remainder of the afternoon watching TV, which is a luxury that almost made up for the whole unpleasant experience. At least his adult teeth can quit procrastinating and grow in now.

Conner's already feeling much better. So much so that he was able to go to his basketball camp this morning. I mean, c'mon, priorities are priorities.
Here are the fallen soldiers. May they rest in peace within the confines of this little plastic coffin.

Conner you should see how much the tooth fairy will give you for all of those teeth! You will have to keep us posted to see if the tooth fairy not only comes to Adam but to Conner as well.
