Christian recently turned 3 and had a big birthday party to celebrate. He's been enamored with airplanes (understatement) for several months now, so his party was an airplane extravaganza. He invited all of his cousins and extended family to celebrate with him. I've posted photos-a-plenty of the occasion.

This was the gathering activity wall. The kids colored on an oversized piece of butcher paper.

This swimming pool was filled with styrofoam pellets and miniature airplanes. The objective was to find as many airplanes as you could within the "clouds"

The kids made wearable airplanes out of cardboard boxes and flew them around the room.

Then everyone boarded the 747 and watched a movie about—what else—airplanes.

Food and drink was served on this flight at no extra charge. And this cart is airline-approved.

Christian's birthday cake was an airplane.

We played "Pin The Pilot In The Plane."

And the pilot was none other than a winking Christian.

After the flight, everyone received their baggage filled with party favors. The baggage was actually painted cereal boxes cut in the shape of a bag. We've been eating cereal for months in preparation for these babies.

Then it was time to open gifts. Christian received a lot of airplane toys.

He also received this bike. Here he is trying it out.

After Christian's birthday party we went to Aunt Ashlee's house for an Anderson family Christmas party. Grandma and Grandpa gave all the cousins Christmas pajamas. Here they are modeling their new evening wear. Max's top didn't fit him so he's sporting the "Tarzan" look this season. It's all the rage.

Christian loves his cousin, Aliza.

After a full day of one fun thing after another, it didn't take Christian long to fall asleep. Every morning since the party I ask Christian what he dreamed about that night. The answer is always the same. Airplanes.
