We've been enjoying a great Christmas break. One look at Christian's face in the above photo sums up quite perfectly the fun we've been having. It's been great to spend time as a family doing activities like sledding, playing video games, watching movies, visiting extended family or doing nothing at all. We hope that you've had a great holiday season, as well. Below is a small sampling of our recent escapades.
The grandkids all received matching pajamas on Christmas Eve—handmade with grandmotherly love from Grandma Harris.

The boys' pajamas all had stitched pockets with their names embroidered on them.

And the girls' pajamas had their names on stitched hearts.

The annual Harris family Christmas pageant was performed again this season to boisterous applause and phenomenal reviews from even the harshest critics.
We spent a few days in Salina and had a great time. In preparation for a sledding excursion, Christian decided to do his best impression of this guy.
In the midst of all the sledding fun we decided to kill two birds with one stone and posed for our 2010 Anderson family portrait.

Adam didn't just conquer this sledding hill, he full-body slammed it into submission and then held it down for an unmerciful and vigorous noogie. This kid has no fear.

Grandpa started a fire at the bottom of the sledding hill—great for warming-up cold and tired sledders.

We also rode the 4-wheelers around in the snow at the base of the hill.

On New Year's Eve, we made gingerbread houses.

And, to ensure that this post isn't completely biased on the side of jollity, joviality and jocularity, we have a sad story of a little boy who made a trip to the emergency room on New Year's Eve. Christian's left middle finger was slammed in a door. It's broken and the nail bed was damaged. But on the bright side (if there is one), he gets to wear a splint and cool dinosaur medical tape on his finger for the next couple of weeks.

Great pictures....
So sorry about Christian's finger. At least he looks tough and stuff while sporting the splint.
Happy New Year!
Hey my pilot friend. So sorry to hear about your broken finger. Remember last year when Grampa broke his wrist? I know how it is to be broken up during the holidays.
Looks like you all had a great Christmas and New Year's celebration.
Was great having you all here for a few days. You were all so "stylin'" in your Grama Harris's P.J.s
Hope to see you on Sunday.
Please forgive me, but this gramma just can't resist......Christian, you've got the coolest "birdie" on the planet. Enjoy those dinos....even tho' I'm sorry to hear of your pain and suffering!
Looks like you had a great time. Can I come next year?
I hope Christian's finger heals fast!
That looks like no fun and who likes to spend New Year's eve in the ER? Hope it gets better soon!
