Trick-Or-Treat

There was Trick-or-Treating action going on around our neighborhood last night despite the deluge. OK. Maybe it wasn't severe enough to be categorized as a deluge, but I will say this, we could have collected 3-4 lbs. more loot had it not been for the rain. I'm just sayin'. And the rain couldn't have had worse timing, either. It started as we left the house and it finished about the time we came back home to warm our hands by the fire. We received a pretty good dousing from Mrs. Mother Nature. She may have drenched us physically, but it takes much more than that to dampen the spirits of children with a sweet tooth.

The kids all chose their costumes. Conner went as a missionary. Abbie was The Queen of Hearts. Adam was Link from Zelda. And Christian was a knight complete with a plastic sword from Hong Kong.

All evening, everyone kept asking Adam if he was Robin Hood. Each time this happened he'd look at them as though they were seriously deranged and in no uncertain terms let them know that only a chump would be caught dead in a Robin Hood costume. He'd then impatiently explain that he was representing the fearless Link from Nintendo's Zelda fame, of course. Normally, I think Adam would let a blunder like that go without explanation, but you know, it's the principle of the thing.
Here's Conner with his trick-or-treating "companion."
And here's the group of young ladies that Abbie went with.

Thanks for posting so I can see the kids in their costumes. I'm not disappointed....they look adorable. The only "not so good thing" was that I couldn't see Adam's cute face. But he was certainly a fearless Link. Glad everyone had a fun time. I did too. Check out my blog. Love ya'll!! Grams

Don't worry about the deleted comment...mine posted twice for some strange reason, so I deleted the duplicate.

That smile on Christian makes all the Halloween hoopla worth it...of course it was your hoopla not mine!

I seriously love all of those kids. So cute. I must admit that I would have also asked Adam if he was Robin Hood and earned that deathly stare. But once you said Link I could see that too. Great job on all the costumes. Love em'.
