We went to the Harris Family reunion last week. It was held in Swan Valley, Idaho at the West Piney Lodge—one of the prettiest places on earth and just a hop, skip and a jump from the Teton Mountain range. Most of Erica's extended family came for the fun and excitement. This was the third time the reunion was held at this location. And for good reason. I can't think of a better place to hold a reunion. Except possibly Hawaii. But I digress. As you can see by the photo above, a family reunion is also a good time to take a new family photo.

Here's the West Piney Lodge. It sleeps 150 people and comes complete with that really long slide you see there to help you get down to the playground as quickly as possible.

Here's the view from the top of the slide. Is it fast? Sonic boom fast.

This is the playground field at the bottom of the slide. Baseball was the game of choice this year.

There's also an outdoor bowling alley complete with a ball return. This was Christian's favorite activity.

There is a hiking trail nearby that leads to a waterfall. It was a lot of fun for the kids to explore the trail with their cousins.

Christian's second favorite activity was throwing rocks in the stream. He was a very dedicated and conscientious rock thrower.

Several of the cousins stopped long enough to have their photo taken on the bridge in front of the waterfall.

Between the marshmallow roasts, late night games, hikes, communal ipad playing, baseball, bowling, eating, talent show and family togetherness, I think it's safe to say that a fun time was had by all. We missed the ones that weren't able to make it. We're looking forward to the next one.

I LOVE that family picture.
If you have an extra, I'd like you to send me one.
I really miss you guys and realized it from this post.
I'm glad you guys could do this.
You all look great.
Erica's stunning as ever.
I mean do you guys ever age?
The only reason I know is cause of the kids NOT the both of you.
Oh, it makes me sad to see the photos of everyone without being able to join in the fun! It makes me really miss everyone and sad that we missed it this time. Our kids will be even more sad when they see the pictures of all the fun the cousins had. But I'm so glad you all had a good time, and am glad we can (hopefully) be at the next one!
Looks like lots of fun. Such a beautiful place. All the fam is looking older....even you Ry. Great family pix!
