Conner and I had tickets to go to the Utah Jazz autograph signing shindig recently. Everyone was there—Howard, Millsap, Jefferson, Miles, etc. Most of the evening was spent standing in various lines. We learned that not only were the players signing autographs, but also the coaches and assistant coaches. So I told Conner that an autograph he should consider standing in line for would be Jeff Hornacek's. It seems weird to think that it was over 10 years ago since he was playing for the Jazz. Anyway, out of all the people that signed their names that evening, Hornacek was the most gracious and nice. He even spent time finding out if Conner played ball and where. But on to more important things—Conner has a ball with most of this year's Jazz players autographs gracing the ol' faux-leather. Any takers? Just don't tell Conner.
