That's right. This poster pretty much sums it up. Christian and our iPod docking station had a serious bout last night. So serious that it sent poor Christian to the local Instacare facility. Was there blood? Yes.
Was there crying? Yes. But don't worry, I calmed down relatively quickly.
Turns out that placing a heavy object with a dangling electrical cord, like an iPod dock, on something tall, like a piano, when there's a toddler in the house, is NOT using good common sense. Who would have thought? We've paid for our folly. Especially Christian, who now has a gaping wound held together by 3 strategically placed staples in the top of his head.
For you heartless souls that are wondering about the condition of the iPod dock—you should be ashamed of yourselves! But Mr. Dock will live to fight another day. He tried to regain our good graces by playing his classical music till all hours of the morning. Oh, he's a wily one. But we've got our eyes on him now. Fool me once...
Christian is doing well. It's hard getting through childhood unscathed. But on a positive note, with three staples in his head, Christian might make a pretty convincing Frankenstein this Halloween.

What a great post. Now before you think I'm heartless let me explain.
I think this is a well written post with a great picture to boot.
I, however don't think the content is too happy.
But I'm glad he's doing ok and the both of them will be alright.
Why did they choose staples as oppose to stiches?
Boys and stitches seem to go together. Trevor had stitches before he was one. I'm glad he is ok.
Sweet poster Ry! I enjoyed your rendition of the "action". I hope Christian's head is surviving all the bumps, bruises, and lacerations!!!

Oh my stars this is so funny in a very horrible way. I am glad that all are well now and I think you should keep Christian away from plum trees. He seems like he may be destined for severe wounds.
How entertaining on poor Christian's behalf. I'm so glad that he is okay. You are truly a gifted writer. Perhaps you should think about a career in advertising.:)
Poor guy, I always hate those unexpected trips to fix up the little ones. Always good to know where the nearest Instacare is--we used this one in Bountiful three hours after moving in! We had driven past it with our realtor a few months earlier and she had commented "and here is the Instacare", How "lucky" is that?
Sometimes when bad things happen, we just have to find the funny or good side...it looks like you did just that. Christian will just have to show everyone his battle-scars! We're glad he's okay!
That explains all the noise we heard next door...
Actually, I didn't hear a thing- I just stumbled onto your blog through a series of unlikely events- very strange. Then I see that there are lots of ward members w/ blogs- I guess I'm a n00b.
