Last night we opted for "Family FISHING Evening" rather than the more popular, yet kosher "Family HOME Evening." We went to Farmington Pond and luckily for us, the fish were biting. We had four poles and at one point, three of them had fish on the line at the same time. All of the kids caught at least one fish, including Christian. It was a fun FFE.

We had a "leash" backpack on Christian. That's right, a leash. We didn't want him to end up in the pond while our backs were turned. But this "leash" is down-right sneaky. At first blush, it looks like an innocent backpack-shaped dog—only this dog has an extra long tail. Brilliant.

Christian had a love/hate relationship with his first fishing trip. He loved the fish. He didn't want them near him, however.

How Fun!!
What a great way to spend your family home evening. Unlike the ones we used to have. Looks like good fishing and nice pond. Keep after it and you will always remember those especially fun home evenings. Out of sight!!!!!!
