The Anderson bunch has been having a lot of fun over the Christmas holiday. But that's nothing new. That's how we roll. Here's a quick rundown of our yuletide merriment.
Each year on Christmas Eve, the kids present the nativity, complete with costumes and props at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Lance films everything and after some other-worldly editing tricks and slow-motion effects, he makes it look like a big-budget Hollywood production. Look for it at the Oscar nominations this year.
Abbie was hoping for a pink beach-cruiser bike. Now that's what I call sportin' the panache...sportin' the panache!
Santa brought a trampoline. Unfortunately, the big lug didn't set it up. I understand he's busy and all, but come on. Luckily for us, it was a warm day, so we assembled it in no time.
Abbie and her friends tested it out on Christmas afternoon. We still need to set-up the enclosure and spring pads, but we'll get to that in the spring.
On Sunday, we assembled humanitarian kits and had a talent show with Erica's family. Here are Zach and Shelley banging out a rousing rendition of Ring Christmas Bells on the bells.
Adam decided to draw a picture for his talent (for the second year in a row). As you can see, everyone was waiting for the result with baited breath. "Draw, Adam! Draw like the wind!"
Rob and Maren sang and played the piano. There were many other talents. Many were musical. Some were physical. And one (in a stroke of brilliance that will go down in the annals of the Harris family talent show lore as an unadulterated classic) even featured a Julia Child impersonation.
We also had an extended Anderson family party at Ashlee and Nick's house, complete with finger food and more gift giving.
We took several funny-face photos, but I needed to enlarge this section of one of them. I think Mom, Adam and Shannon win the funny-face competition hands-down! You can't beat THAT. Although, I'm a little disappointed in Princess (the dog). I don't think she's giving it a very good effort. We had a great Christmas holiday and we hope you did, too. Merry Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas Andersons.
Looks like a blast.
How fun! Can I join your family?
We did have a great time. I loved the funny faces. Merry Christmas! I am glad Santa was good to your family this year.
I just loved spending time with the best people on the face of the earth. Loved all the pix. My favorite part of your posting was "the big lug didn't set it up"!!! I'd love to attend the Harris Family Talent Show....I'll bet there's a LOT of great talent there. I want to know who did the infamous "Julia Child". What a great Christmas 2010....and Happy New Year to everyone! Another terrific post!
